Very well done of the recommendations.

Monday, April 28th, 2014

Hi Paul,

Just got into Tokyo, and back into the world of free hotel WiFi. The ryokans may be terrific, but wi-fi isn’t one oftheir strengths..

So far, it has been terrific! All connections worked really well. Everything is so much easier than when I was in Japan last time, about 100 years ago. Lots of English spoken; buses, trains, subways all do signs and announcements in English now. Before there was none of this, and it was quite baffling. Often got off at the wrong stops, and unable to ask anyone. Much general frustration.

Loved the onsen experience. Miyajima and Takayama were very good, but both places were full of foreign tourists. Arima…no-one in the English-speaking world seems to know about it, so we were the only foreigners in the ryokan, and two of the very few in the whole town.

Kosenkaku was a delight. We have never experienced anything quite like it…anywhere.  The service was extraordinary, the food astonishing, the location peaceful with beautiful mountain views. Complete silence, other than the eating, hot tubbing, and sleeping. The whole hotel, from Manager down came out to fare well us.  It was quite moving.

Also, Hiroshima and Tokyo hotels very good. So, very well done of the recommendations.

Regards, Ross

Hi Miyuki, I want to say that we are very happy with your company and we are especially happy with Aye and the service she gave us, nothing was too much trouble for her and she has a very happy and helpful nature. Last minute quote

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2014

Hi, I am just writing to give my feedback on Atsu Omori. I called this afternoon and asked for an urgent last minute booking for this weekend. I received a quote from him very quickly and he confirmed all the hotels for me. That is probably the quickest I have ever asked a wholesaler for a quote. He then got the documents to me quickly once the customer paid.

He has also added instructions on transport which will make it much easier for my clients. I have also used Atsu’s help once before where I had a cancelled tour and he helped me put together a difficult itinerary. Every time I have used Atsu, he has been quick and prompt and has always given me as much information as I have asked for. He makes my job much easier.

I am very pleased with his service and he is a good asset to your company.

Regards, Kelly

Yelp Review

Wednesday, April 16th, 2014

This review was taken from the JTB Australia Yelp Page

Picture a sweaty bald man hurtling down the street armed to the teeth with luggage (suitcase, laptop and camera backpack). Then throw into the mix the following phrase “If you go to Japan you need a Japan Rail Pass… Oh and you have to book them about 2 weeks in advance!”

It was with this knowledge that I approached JTB Travel at 1pm today. A mere 9 hours and change before my flight leaves for Japan. Upon entering the sparse reception I was greeted by the lovely Koyomi who immediately set my mind at ease.

The cost of the rail passes isn’t a surprise to anyone, they are $315 but they save you an absolute bomb in the long run. JTB only charge $5 to knock one over for you on the spot, and it takes only 10 minutes tops.

During that 10 minute wait Koyomi exceeded my expectations by bringing back 3 maps and highlighting the main train routes to a plethora of places I am interested in. She also pointed out the specific trains (they have names over there) that I would or wouldnt be able to catch with my railpass. She also threw in one or two suggestions of her own for me to check out. Apparently Michael Jackson shut down an entire shopping centre in one of the districts so he could fashion hunt till his hearts content.

All in all I left elated and really excited about my trip after I left JTB. To think I went in with trepidation and fear and exited with elation makes me smile :)

A marvellous trip

Tuesday, April 1st, 2014

Dear Koyomi

Just a quick note to let you know that our trip to Japan was really great.  Everything went like clockwork and all the accommodation was very central and comfortable.  The tours were also very good except that it rained very hard when we went to Mt Fuji so we didn’t see anything!!  We will have to do that again next time.

Thanks so much for all your help in organising such a marvellous trip.

Appi Kogen Trip

Tuesday, April 1st, 2014

Hi Lily

We had a wonderful trip to Appi Kogen. The hotel, skiing and everything else was great.  We are now planning for next year.  Thank you for looking after my friend Sarah and her father (they have just been to Niseko and really enjoyed it).

Your colleague, Ryoko at Narita Airport gave us such wonderful treatment when we missed our flight to Beijing during the BIG snow storm at Narita.  Her help was invaluable and her patience and assistance was beyond what we expected from Japan Travel.  We made it to Beijing eventually on the Sunday night and enjoyed the trip to China.  Please pass on to your boss and her boss just what a wonderful, helpful person she was who looked after us and made the night in the airport seem not too bad.

I will be in touch once we have decided whether we are going to Rusitsu or Niseko and when!

Once again the trip was most enjoyable.

Kind regards, Linda

Skiing at Hakuba

Tuesday, April 1st, 2014

Hi Peta

Just emailing to let you know that Daniel and I had a fantastic time in Japan, the skiing at Hakuba was awesome, the accommodation was great, the owners of the lodge made us feel very welcome and it was lovely to share stories/information in the common lounge/dining room with everyone else, lots of fun. All of the hotels you booked were great to stay in and the Japanese breakfasts were delicious too.

The rest of the holiday in Tokyo and Kyoto was brilliant too, with many wonderful temples, shrines and castles to see and of course great food including delicious pastries which was an unexpected surprise.

Your instructions on the Itinerary were absolutely fantastic and very helpful, which made our trip much easier when we had to work out how to get to places we were staying at.

Thanks once again for your great service and we are very happy to recommend you and the Platinum travel service to everyone we know.

Cheers, Armando
